Managed Detection & Response

Analysts who act on the alert, at any hour.

Intuitus MDR watches your endpoints, network, cloud and email from a 24/7/365 U.S.-based SOC. When a threat is real, our analysts investigate and contain it instead of opening a ticket for your team.

The problem it solves

An alert nobody reads until Monday is not protection.

Security tools raise alerts around the clock. Most teams can only review them during business hours, and attackers plan around that. MDR puts trained analysts on those alerts every night, weekend and holiday.

Teams without a night shift

Your IT staff goes home in the evening. Ransomware crews often start after hours, when nobody is watching.

Teams buried in alerts

You own good tools, but nobody has the time to sort real threats from noise.

Regulated organizations

HIPAA, CJIS and CMMC all expect monitoring and a documented response. MDR produces both, with records to show an auditor.

How it works

From first alert to contained threat.

01

Onboard

We deploy Sophos MDR Complete to your endpoints or work with the EDR vendor you already use, connect your network, cloud and email sources, and tune detections to your environment. Full 24/7 monitoring is usually live within two weeks, and can start in as little as one day.

02

Monitor and hunt

AI-assisted detection filters out the noise. Analysts review what is left and hunt for activity no rule caught.

03

Investigate and contain

When a threat is confirmed, an analyst acts on it in 15 minutes or less. Analysts stop malicious processes and cut off the attacker’s access. How far we go on our own is agreed with you at onboarding: some containment runs automatically, and isolating a device follows your incident response plan and playbooks.

04

Report

You get a plain-language account of what happened and what we did about it, with next steps for your team.

What’s included

What an Intuitus MDR subscription covers.

We run Sophos MDR Complete as a Sophos Gold Partner, which is what makes the warranty available to our clients. Already use another EDR vendor? You can keep it and we will monitor it. Sophos is often the more cost-efficient choice, so we will compare both with you.

  • Endpoint MDR Complete: 24/7 threat hunting, detection and response on every endpoint, with full incident response support
  • Network MDR: 24/7 monitoring of network traffic, with reports and IR First Aid
  • Network detection and response (NDR) as an add-on, for visibility into lateral movement
  • Cloud and email monitoring across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS and Azure
  • Email protection with Sophos Central Email Advanced, available as an add-on or bundled into your MDR plan
  • Dark web monitoring for exposed credentials and leaked data, available as an add-on or bundled into your MDR plan
  • Breach protection warranty: eligible clients are covered for up to $1,000,000 a year in breach-response costs, backed by Sophos

The warranty is provided by Sophos and is not a contract of insurance. Coverage is subject to Sophos eligibility terms, including a maintained healthy security posture.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Managed Detection and Response (MDR)?

Managed detection and response (MDR) is a service in which a security team watches your endpoints, network, cloud and email around the clock, investigates suspicious activity and contains real threats. Intuitus runs MDR from a 24/7 U.S.-based SOC, pairing AI-assisted detection with human analysts who act on what they find instead of just forwarding alerts.

How is MDR different from an MSSP?

An MSSP usually manages security tools and forwards alerts for your team to investigate. MDR includes the analysts who investigate and contain the threat for you, at any hour.

Is MDR the same as SOC as a Service?

At Intuitus they are the same program, run from one 24/7 U.S.-based SOC. MDR describes the outcome: threats found and contained. SOC as a Service describes the arrangement: a staffed security operations center you subscribe to instead of building.

What does the Sophos Breach Protection Warranty cover?

Eligible Intuitus MDR clients are covered for up to $1,000,000 a year in breach-response costs, including legal fees, breach notification, regulatory fines and ransomware payments (up to $100,000 per incident). The warranty is provided by Sophos, is not a contract of insurance, and requires a healthy security posture: current patching, MFA, backups and security awareness training.

Who are the analysts?

U.S.-based analysts and engineers, including former investigators and responders. They learn your environment, some programs have a dedicated analyst, and a SOC manager reviews events and alerts as needed.
